Please join members of the Escondido Firefighters’ Association as they host the 12th Annual Fire Truck Night at Cruisin’ Grand in Escondido on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Cruisin’ Grand in Escondido is a FREE EVENT where visitors and car enthusiasts come to check out hundreds of cars lining the streets of Grand Avenue.
“Fire Truck Night is special to the men and women in the firefighting profession as we get a chance to showcase a number of special antique vehicles from different fire departments throughout San Diego County,” says Escondido Fire Chief Michael Lowry. “There will be rides on antique fire engines and the California State Firefighter’s Association will showcase their horse-drawn 1902 AMERICAN Steam engine.”
Rides begin at 5:30 pm and continue to 8:15 pm. At 6:00 pm witness the raising of a giant American flag at Grand and Broadway. At 7:00 pm cover your ears as a Code 3 Fire Truck Parade will head down Grand Avenue. Off-duty Escondido Fire personnel, along with Escondido Fire Department Senior Volunteers and Fire Explorers will be generously volunteering their time at this unique event to put smiles on the faces of kids big and small.
