To remove or abandon an underground flammable liquid (gas) tank:
- Obtain and complete permit application. Information required for application includes address of property, number and capacity of tanks, and anticipated disposition of tanks
- Pay Fire Department Current Fees
- Dry ice and triple rinse witnessed by Escondido Fire Department representative after minimum of 48 hours' notification
To install an aboveground tank:
- Obtain and complete permit application. Information required for application includes address of property; numbers and capacities of new, existing, and discontinued tanks; and new tank manufacturer and U.L. approval numbers
- Submit 4 sets of plans
- Pay Fire Department Current Fees
To install an underground flammable liquid tank/waste oil recovery:
- Obtain "Permit to Install an Underground Flammable Liquid Tank/Waste Oil Recovery"
- Submit blueprints of the installation location
- Pay Fire Department Current Fees
