On September 10, 2020 at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Escondido Police and Fire Communication Center received a report of a possible structure fire at 1740 Seven Oaks Rd. While responding several units reported smoke seen from a distance and requested a working fire upgrade. The first arriving Company Officer found a fully involved travel trailer located in an RV park.
Aggressive action by the firefighters contained and controlled the fire in approximately 20 minutes. The travel trailer sustained major damage from both fire and smoke. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. In all, 4 fire engines, 1 truck, 1 rescue ambulance, 1 Battalion Chief, and 1 Investigator responded to the fire.
Escondido Police Units provided crowd and traffic control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
