Serve the Fire Department, Serve the Community - Volunteer Opportunities

The Escondido Fire Department Support Volunteer program is a group of uniformed volunteers, over age of 50, who contribute their time to serve the public by providing a broad range of logistic, administrative and public education support to the Department. Although a couple of SV’s are currently employed elsewhere, the group consists mainly of retired citizens offering their unpaid time and service to the EFD. A few previous career experiences of this group include former company executives, business owners, insurance executives, an aeronautical engineer, former firefighters, government civil servant, telephone equipment installers, and former military. Any experience along with a desire to serve is welcome!

Support volunteers perform a variety of duties to assist the Fire Department in providing vital services to the community. So if you are 50 years of age and older, follow the link and consider joining our Support Volunteer Program.
